Nishi Rochelle
Purdue University

Nishi Rochelle is an analytical chemist with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana. She completed her Ph.D. in 2012 at Purdue University under the guidance of Professor Fred E. Regnier. Her doctoral research involved identifying and quantifying glycoproteins that are deregulated in the blood plasma of breast cancer patients. The methodology utilized a combination of immunoaffinity chromatography and mass spectrometry to gain specificity in a targeted proteomic approach. Dr. Nishi Rochelle is continuing her study of proteomics applications to cancer biology as a Postdoctoral Research Associate with Professor Laurie L. Parker in the department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue where a bioinformatics approach is used to design peptide substrates to monitor phosphorylation of kinases in chronic and acute leukemia.
