Martin Overgaard has a combined position as a Staff Scientist at Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmacology, Odense University Hospital and as an Associate Professor at Institute of Clinical Research, University of Southern Denmark. He received his Ph.D. in molecular biology in 2008 and has shifted his research from molecular microbiologi to biomarker development and diagnostics. He is currently responsible for numerous automated laboratory immunoassays and has since 2011 focused his research on mass spectrometry-based clinical targeted proteomics.
