Article Review Types | |
Review articles are typically invited, but they may be submitted unsolicited. Reviews are intended to provide either an overview (e.g., mini-review and graphical review) or comprehensive coverage (e.g., full review) of a topic, including potential future directions. The use of illustrative figures and/or tables is encouraged. Full Review: Abstract required. May be free-form or structured (e.g., Background, Content, and Summary), but must be limited to 250 words. The main text length should be around 2,500 - 5,000 words. Supplemental data permitted. Mini-Review: No abstract required, but if desired by the author, free form is recommended; limit to 250 words. The main text length should be around 1,000 - 2,500 words. Supplemental data permitted. Examples:
