MSACL is committed to creating a supportive and productive environment. Professional behavior is expected at all MSACL functions. Harassment in any form will not be tolerated.
Participants asked to cease any inappropriate behavior are expected to comply immediately. Attendees violating the following guidelines may be asked to leave the event at the discretion of the organizers without a refund
of any fee paid.
- Do not insult, disparage, or act disrespectfully towards attendees or staff.
- Do not attempt to embarrass, humiliate, belittle or ask sarcastic questions of presenters, regardless of your perceived quality of their work.
- Behave professionally. Harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments or jokes are not appropriate. Harassment includes sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, sexual
attention or innuendo, deliberate intimidation, stalking, and photography or recording of an individual without consent. It also includes offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical
appearance, body size, race or religion.
- All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience, including people of many different backgrounds. Sexual language and/or imagery is not appropriate.
Be kind to others. Come to learn, come to share, come to provide constructive and supportive feedback and dialogue.
