Is this your first time attending MSACL? Want an experienced attendee to show you the ropes? Sign up for the conference buddies program! Open to all first time attendees, this is a great way to get introduced to MSACL: both the conference and the community. Participants will be paired with an experienced MSACL attendee to help guide them through the MSACL experience, from advice on how to navigate the conference, a friendly face at large events, and help networking through introductions to other MSACL attendees.

Logistics: Participants can indicate their interest when they register, and will be paired with a frequent MSACL attendee based on their priorities for the conference (e.g. topic specific, career goals, networking). All participants will receive their “buddies’” contact information ahead of the conference to arrange a meet-up and ask any questions. After the opening plenary session, all program participants will be invited to remain in the ballroom to introduce themselves to their mentors and other participants, and mentors will help guide you through the opening reception. Additionally, participants can opt-in to indicate their first-time attendee status on their badge, encouraging the community to reach out!
